Greeneville, Tenn. - A close game from start to finish ended in the Elizabethton Twins' favor Sunday night, as stellar pitching and three runs in the tenth inning propelled the E-Twins to a series sweep over the Greenville Reds.

Starting pitcher Cody Laweryson retired all nine batters he faced while striking out three before turning the game over the bullpen, which did not disappoint.

Tyler Benninghoff and Osiris German combined for four innings of relief pitching with just one hit allowed and five strikeouts from German.

Despite allowing Greeneville to tie the game in the ninth, Nate Hadley earned his first pro win while striking out three over the eighth and ninth innings.

The only offense Elizabethton could muster through the first nine innings came in the third when Charles Mack singled home Alex Isola, who finished the day 3-5 with two doubles and a run batted in.

His RBI came in the 10th inning when the E-Twins bats finally came to life. Anthony Prato connected for a sacrifice fly that scored Mack, Seth Gray scored on a wild pitch and Matt Wallner came home on a single from Isola that proved to be critical.

Greeneville scored once in the bottom of the 10th against Dylan Thomas and put the potential winning run on base, but Thomas was able to buckle down and force a ground out to end the game.

The three-game sweep over Greeneville was Elizabethton's first sweep of the season. Next up for the E-Twins is a three-game road trip to Pulaski to face the Yankees before returning home for three games against the Kingsport Mets.
