
E-Train Claims Series Win with 7-3 Victory over Dodgers on Friday

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Round Rock Express (59-50) clinched a series win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers (62-47) with a 7-3 win in game four on Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Round Rock RHP Cole Winn (8-3, 5.65) went home with the win after posting a 5.2-inning start that saw one earned run, three hits, three walks and seven strikeouts. Oklahoma City RHP Andre Jackson (1-7, 5.16) was tagged with the loss after allowing two earned runs on four hits, two walks and five punchouts during his 4.0-inning start.
Along the Train Tracks:
Oklahoma City jumped out to a 1-0 lead early on with one run in the bottom of the first inning. CF Drew Avans knocked a leadoff triple then scored as 3B Edwin Rios grounded out.
Round Rock took over for a 2-1 lead in the fourth. DH Andy Ibáñez hit a leadoff double and scored as RF Josh Sale hit a ground rule double. Sale came home when 1B Nick Tanielu hit the frame's third double.
The Express lead increased by three runs in the fifth inning when, with two outs, C Sam Huff singled and scored on an Ibáñez double before 3B Davis Wendzel hit his first home run of the night to make it 5-1.
Round Rock kept extending its lead as the team scored two runs in the eighth. After Ibáñez tallied his third hit of the night with a leadoff single, Wendzel went yard for the second time during the contest to score the pair and put the Express ahead 7-1.
The Dodgers worked at a comeback as they plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. SS Jacob Amaya worked a two-out walk before C Hunter Feduccia hit a ground rule double. The pair scored as DH Omar Estévez singled. A groundout ended the inning as the 7-3 score held to be final.

Friday night's win clinched a series victory for Round Rock as the team earned its fourth win of the series. The Express are now 10-8-3 in series play this season and are 3.0 games behind the division's No. 1 spot.
E-Train DH Andy Ibáñez led the way with three hits for Round Rock, including two doubles. 3B Davis Wendzel recorded the other multi-hit performance with two hits, both home runs, to go with four RBI. Wendzel tallied the first multi-home run contest of his career to help Round Rock to the win.
Next up: The two teams play for game five of the six-game series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday night. Express LHP Dallas Keuchel (0-0, 3.48) is scheduled to start up against Dodgers LHP Robbie Erlin (5-3, 7.07). First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. CT.
