FREDERICK, MD - FREDERICK, MD – Dustin Yount drove in five runs, including a third-inning grand slam to lift the Keys over the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 8-3, to regain second place in the Carolina League's Northern Division

Yount, who went 3-for-4, with five RBI's has now homered in his last three games away from Harry Grove Stadium. Nate Spears, Nick Markakis and Pat Scalabrini each chipped in two hits to pace the Keys offense.

Travis Brown got the Keys started in the first inning with a sacrifice fly to center field to drive in Nate Spears. Later in the first Yount drove in Nick Markakis with a single to left field giving the Keys a 2-0 advantage.

In the third inning Markakis, Mario Delgado and Pat Scalabrini led off the inning with consecutive singles loading the bases. Yount followed with a grand slam to right field off Juan Cedeno, his seventh homer of the year, to put the game out of reach before Wilmington got on the board.

The Blue Rocks would score a run of their own in the third inning when Bryan Goelz singled to drive in Dirimo Chavez. Chavez would single to drive in Michael Hall in the fourth inning and Brant Ust scored Goelz in the fifth inning, as he grounded out to Bryan Bass, to close the gap to three runs.

Ryan Hubele added some insurance runs in the seventh inning, as he doubled to left field to drive in Pat Scalabrini and Yount, to give the Keys a commanding 8-3 lead.

Wilmington could not manage any more offense, as Nick McCurdy tossed 2.0 innings of one-hit scoreless relief.

James Johnson (4-2) earned the win tossing 7.0 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, while striking out seven.

Cedeno (1-5) took the loss allowing six runs on eight hits over 4.0 innings, while striking out five.

The Keys spend two more nights in Wilmington to play the last two games of their three game series with the Blue Rocks, before going to Lynchburg to play four more with the Hillcats. RHP Fredy Deza will start on Tuesday for the first time since returning from the disabled list last week.

The Keys will return home on Monday, May 30th to play host to the Salem Avalanche at 7:05 p.m.
