Wilmington, DE --- Dustin Yount's third inning grand slam off Juan Cedeno helped lift the Frederick Keys to an 8-3 victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Frawley Stadium before a crowd of 3,981 Monday night. Yount's grand slam was the fourth given up this season by the Blue Rocks, and third allowed to the Keys.

Frederick now leads the season series, six games to two and moves within three games of Lynchburg in the Carolina League's Northern Division. The win also snaps Wilmington's three game winning streak.

Cedeno (1-5) took the loss, giving up six earned runs over four innings of work. After allowing two runs in the opening frame, the lefthander gave up three consecutive singles to start the third inning. Yount, the fourth batter of the inning, took a 3-1 pitch over the right centerfield fence extended Frederick's lead. The blast was Yount's seventh of the season, and he finished the game 3-for-3 with five RBI.

Meanwhile, Frederick's James Johnson (4-2) kept Wilmington at bay, surrendering single runs in the third, fourth, and fifth inning while striking out seven. It was his second win over the Blue Rocks in three starts against Wilmington in 2005.

The Keys added some insurance in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Felix Romero, as catcher Ryan Hubele delivered a two-run double down the left field line, scoring Yount and Pat Scalabrini to make it 8-3.

Nick McCurdy worked the final two innings in scoreless fashion to close the door on the Rocks.

The Blue Rocks and Keys meet again Tuesday night at Frawley Stadium, beginning at 6:35 p.m. The first 1,500 adults will receive a Blue Rocks T-Shirt, courtesy of the McGavisk Realty Team. Sanchez started the game, going six innings, yielding four earned runs while striking out six. Hertzler gave up a walk-off, two-run homer to Detroit's Derek Nicholson in the ninth inning.
