Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (8-7) scored seven unanswered runs on Friday night to come away with the 7-4 win over the Boise Hawks (7-8). The win is the fourth straight victory at home for Tri-City.
Boise jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs off of Dust Devils' starter Cole Bellinger in the first four innings. The offense came to life for Tri-City in the fourth inning. Behind five hits the Dust Devils rallied to score four runs and tie the game. Tri-City did the rest of their damage in the bottom of the seventh inning. Tre Carter and Kelvin Alarcon hit back-to-back triples to spark the three-run inning. Carter and Alarcon, along with Dwanya Williams-Sutton and Aldemar Burgos each had two hits in the victory.
Right-handed pitcher Sam Keating will start the second game of the five-game series on Saturday. Boise will counter with right-handed pitcher Pearson McMahan. There will be a postgame fireworks show Saturday at Gesa Stadium presented by Back to Basics Chiropractic.
