Dusosky MISL's Co-Defensive Player of the Week
January 29, 2007 - Major Indoor Soccer League 2 (MISL 2)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE, WI (Jan 29, 2007) - A nine-point weekend in two wild victories for the Milwaukee Wave earned a co-Defensive Player of the Week honor for Troy Dusosky on Monday, the Major Indoor Soccer League announced.
Dusosky, an 11-year veteran from Anoka, Minn., recorded his first MISL hat trick Friday in a 16-14 win over California. The last goal, on a restart, was the game-winner with 45 seconds left. Saturday in Stockton, Calif., his 3-point goal into an empty net with 9 seconds left clinched a 23-18 victory, also over the Cougars.
Dusosky is on track for perhaps the most productive season of his career on the offensive end, with 15 goals (including three 3-pointers) and nine assists in 18 games. He recorded 17 goals and 17 assists in 30 games with the Cleveland Crunch in 1999-2000.
The victories gave the Wave (10-8) a four-game winning streak. Milwaukee returns to action at 6:05 p.m. Saturday against the Chicago Storm at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
Other league honorees this week were Goalkeeper of the Week Jim Larkin (Chicago), co-Defensive Player of the Week Jonathan Greenfield (Detroit) and Offensive Player of the Week Brian Farber (California).
