Duplissie Named Hitter of the Week

(Nashua, N.H., July 14, 2008) Can-Am League officials announced today that Pride first baseman Bryan Duplissie was named the Teamline Direct Batter of the Week by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician of the Can-Am League.

Duplissie batted .444 in seven games for the Pride. He hammered three home runs to along with eight RBI, five runs scored and four doubles. Duplissie also had 12 hits with an on-base percentage of .464 and a slugging percentage of .926. The 24-year-old is hitting .324 on the season with 10 home runs, 34 RBI, 60 hits and 18 doubles. He is first in the Can-Am in home runs and extra base hits (28), tied for first in doubles, third in slugging percentage (.584) and tied for fifth in runs batted in.

The native of East Swansey, NH is now in his third season with Nashua. In his previous two seasons, Duplissie had a combined batting average of .254 with 21 home runs, 77 RBI and 31 doubles.
