South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - Darren Abbott, the South Carolina Stingrays president, announced today that the Rays and Dunkin' Donuts have signed a partnership deal for the 2006-2007 season.
"We are looking forward to our partnership with Dunkin' Donuts," said Abbott. "It is a company that is synonymous with hockey in the Northeast and we hope to make it synonymous with the Stingrays in Charleston," said Abbott.
With this new partnership, the Stingrays have added on an exciting feature to all home games. Every second intermission fans can now participate in the Dunkin' Donuts Chuck-a-Puck with a chance to win cash money. Fans have the option to purchase pucks to throw onto the ice in an attempt to hit the winning mark. If nobody hits the winning mark, the money is transferred to the next game and fans will have a chance to win two nights' worth of money. This will continue until somebody wins. The fan closest to the mark every game will win a special prize pack provided by Dunkin' Donuts.
Dunkin' Donuts has three locations in the Charleston area with a fourth location opening up across the street from the North Charleston Coliseum at the Tanger Outlet Center. The Stingrays will be joining employees and customers at the grand opening, whose date will be announced later. To find the location nearest you, visit them on the web at www.dunkindonuts.com.
