SERIES WIN: Dunedin defeated the Daytona Tortugas by the final score of 8-4 on a Saturday night in Daytona Beach. The Blue Jays scored four runs in the first for the second consecutive night receiving a three run homer from Demi Orimoloye and a solo shot for Kacy Clemens. Daytona tied the game when the Tortugas up a four spot in the second on the RBIs from Jose Garcia and Bruce Yari. Dunedin regained the lead with two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh and eight innings for insurance. Alejandro Kirk, Cullen Large and Chavez Young each drove in runs on the night for the Blue Jays. RHP Emerson Jimenez picked up his second win of the year, while righty Josh Winckowski notched a four inning save for the Blue Jays out of the bullpen.

TONIGHT'S GAME: The Blue Jays six game road swing concludes with the finale of three matchups this weekend against FSL North Division rival Daytona at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach, FL. Tonight's matchup marks the sixth game in a stretch of 20 games in a row. Following their 8-4 victory last night, Dunedin sits 1.5 back of Clearwater in second place in the FSL North Division in second half play. The D-Jays come in having won 11 of 15, 14 of 19, and 20 of their last 28, and are holders of the best winning percentage (.632) in the Florida State League.

AGAINST DAYTONA: Dunedin and Daytona play game three of a three game weekend series and the third of the final six matchups between the two teams in 2019. The Blue Jays snatched two of three from the Tortugas at "The Jack" in early May after getting swept in three games at the same venue at the end of April. Tonight's game is the ninth of 12 contests between the clubs this season. The two clubs will meet one more time for a three game set at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium on August 20th-22nd. The Blue Jays have won four straight games from Daytona and now three of the last four regular season series against Daytona going back to September of 2018.
