(Central Islip, N.Y., September 10, 2009) - The 2009 regular season is coming to an end, but the fun and excitement at Citibank Park are still in all-star form. The Ducks final four-game home stand begins on Thursday, September 17, and the week will be packed with some of the most enjoyable promotions the schedule has to offer. In addition, the Ducks are locked in a tight wild-card race as they seek their sixth consecutive playoff berth, meaning each night will be crammed with great promotions on the field and intense playoff-atmosphere baseball between the lines.
The homestand begins on Thursday, September 17, with a 6:35 p.m.start against the Camden Riversharks. Gates will open 5:35 p.m., and the first 1,500 fans to the ballpark will receive a water bottle, courtesy of The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation. Thursday will also be the last "Unused Ticket Day" of the season. Fans holding unused tickets from this season will have the opportunity to exchange those tickets for a ticket of equal or lesser value at the Citibank Park Box Office.
On Friday, September 18, the Ducks and Sharks play game two of their four-game set. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 6:05 p.m. The 1,500 fans will receive stress balls courtesy of New York State Nurses Association. Come out to the ballpark and root on your favorite Long Island team as the Ducks continue playoff-fever baseball!
Saturday, September 19, Long Island and Camden continue the series with a 7:05 p.m. game. Gates will open at 6:05 and all fans in attendance will be treated to a Grucci Fireworks Extravaganza after the game, presented by Nycomed US. The weekend concludes with a Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 20, sponsored by Long Island Pepsi, with the Ducks hosting Camden in a 1:35 p.m. matinee. The Ducks will host their weekly pregame autograph session and postgame Kids Run the Bases, courtesy of Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Throughout the afternoon, a lucky fan will win a new mountain bike each inning, as Long Island Pepsi hosts the Great Mountain Bike Giveaway.
