Ducks Host Swine Flu Prevention

(Central Islip, N.Y., May. 4, 2009) - The Long Island Ducks today announced a partnership with Crosstex to host "Swine Flu Prevention Awareness Night" on Thursday, May 7, at Citibank Park. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive hand sanitizer, while Crosstex will have a table set up on the ballpark concourse to hand out educational materials and information regarding the prevention and awareness of swine flu and other forms of influenza.

"We are happy to provide this platform to help spread the word about swine flu prevention awareness and how the incorporation of better hygienic habits can help stop the spread of this potentially fatal disease," says Ducks general manager Michael Pfaff.

Swine Flu Prevention Awareness Night, presented by Crosstex, will take place at Citibank Park on Thursday, May 7, as the Ducks wrap up a seven-game homestand with a 6:35 p.m. contest against the Lancaster Barnstormers. The ballpark gates open at 5:35 p.m. Fans wishing to attend can purchase tickets at the Citibank Park Box Office, by calling 631-940-TIXX, or by logging onto www.liducks.com and clicking on the tickets icon.
