Drummond And Nie To Appear On The Pow-Wow

Johnstown, PA - For the second edition of "The Pow-Wow" on Thursday, January 17 host, and voice of the Chiefs, Ray Schmitt will be joined by guests Rob Drummond and Ryan Nie.

A rookie forward, Drummond is having a strong year for Johnstown. He currently sits sixth on the Chiefs' scoring list with 16 points (9G, 7A), is riding a four-game point streak, and has two game-winning goals to his credit. Drummond spent seven games with Lake Erie of the AHL this season where he picked up one assist and was a plus-1.

In his second professional season, goaltender Ryan Nie is setting the pace for Johnstown goalies. He leads the team in wins (9), minutes (1,003), and saves (411). Nie also posted the only shutout of the season for the Chiefs when he turned aside 21 shots in a 3-0 win over Wheeling on December 1. Nie also saw time in the AHL, appearing in one game for the Providence Bruins.

Chiefs' fans of all ages can see the show live from the Lower Works of the Johnstown Brewing Company Restaurant and Pub at 7:30 PM. For those who miss the live show, a recording of "The Pow-Wow" will be available at www.johnstownchiefs.com.

After the show is over, fans can stay for an informal meet-and-greet with the players who will be available for pictures and/or autographs. Throughout the night the Johnstown Brewing Company will be offering their full menu, including their weekly Thursday special, BBQ Night.

The Chiefs are back in action Friday night when they travel to Elmira. Saturday, they visit Reading. Both game games at 7:00 p.m.

The Chiefs are back on War Memorial ice on Friday, January 18 when they host the Dayton Bomber at 7:00 p.m. It is guaranteed win night! If the Chiefs lose the game all fans in attendance will receive a voucher to a game to be determined.
