Devils Trade for NHL Vet Bonsignore

TRENTON, NJ (January 9, 2008) - The Trenton Devils today announced that they have acquired forward Jason Bonsignore from the Fresno Falcons in exchange for future considerations.

Bonsignore, 31, was selected by the Edmonton Oilers as the fourth overall pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He saw action in 79 games over four seasons with the Oilers and Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring 16 points (3g, 13a) and compiling 34 penalty minutes.

The 6-4, 220-pounder has played in six different professional leagues across two continents, most recently competing in the ECHL with Fresno this year. Acquired by the Falcons on December 2, Bonsignore has two assists and ten PIM through seven games this season.

The ten-year veteran has accumulated 81 goals, 128 assists, and 476 penalty minutes in his professional career. Born in Rochester, New York, Bonsignore skated in the OHL at the amateur level.

The Trenton Devils travel to Ohio and West Virginia this week, but return home to face the Reading Royals at Sovereign Bank Arena on Friday, January 18 at 7:30pm. Full and partial season ticket plans for 2007-08 are available by calling (609) 599-9500.
