Bordeleau to Make Ice Pilots Debut Tonight in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC - Patrick Bordeleau will play his first game with the Ice Pilots tonight when they battle the Charlotte Checkers. Bordeleau was acquired from the Wheeling Nailers on January 4.

"Bordeleau is a tall kid and an NHL Draft Pick," said Ice Pilots Head Coach John Marks. "I was very impressed with him in the morning skate. He has good skills and is a young guy who just wants to play."

The 6'6'', 220 pound native of Montreal was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the fourth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Bordeleau has skated in 13 games between Charlotte and Wheeling this season scoring one goal with three assists.

The 21 year old is in his first pro season after four seasons in juniors, mostly in the QMJHL with Val-d'Or. He scored 51 goals and collected 82 assists for 133 points in 218 games in the Q.
