Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas – Three home runs by the Tulsa Drillers were more than enough to dispatch the Round Rock Express, 10-4, in front of 10,412 at The Dell Diamond.

The outfield berm got its first workout early, as the Drillers scored three runs in the second off of Nick Roberts. Kevin Burford provided the opening salvo when he drove his seventh home run over the right field bullpen.

Chris Tremie provided a bit of an equalizer when he drove in Anthony Acevedo with an RBI single off the left field wall.

However, that was matched when Tulsa mirrored the fifth inning with five runs. Cory Sullivan started the inning with a two run single. Andy Tracy finished the big inning when he sent his 21st home run over the left field wall.

Tino Sanchez finished the hat trick with a shot in the sixth.

Round Rock staged a rally in the eighth with RBI singles by Chris Burke and Jon Topolski. It wasn't enough, though.

Roberts (1-7) was tagged with the loss. Mike DiFelice (5-5) got the win after giving up one run and four hits in seven innings.

The second game of the four game series is Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
