ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico -- Derek Wathan and Gerald Williams both drove home three runs as the Albuquerque Isotopes beat the New Orleans Zephyrs, 10-6 on Sunday Night in Albuquerque.
Wathan, who finished 4-for-5, doubled and scored in the first inning and hit a solo home run in the fourth for a 7-3 lead. In the sixth, he ripped a two-run triple and doubled again in the eighth, falling a single shy of a cycle. Williams led off the first inning with his 10th homer of the season and connected on a two-run shot in the second. Jason Wood finished with a pair of sacrifice flies for Albuquerque, which has won seven of its last eight. Jason Grilli (3-2) allowed three runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings for the win.
Kyle Logan, Alan Zinter and Jason Alfaro all homered for New Orleans, which has lost five of its last six meetings with the Isotopes. Randy Keisler (1-2) gave up six runs and eight hits, walking two, in two innings for the loss.
