Sox Split Double Header with Sounds

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox split the evening double header with the Nashville Sounds on Saturday. The Sounds took game 1 8-2. Sox starter Jason Young left with an injury after giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in 2 1/3 innings of work. Mark Sweeney continues his hot hitting as he registers 2 of the Sox 6 hits in the game 1. The Sox took the nightcap from the Sounds 12-8. Mark Bellhorn hit his 3rd home run and finished the affair with 5 RBI to lead the Sox 13 hit attack. Sweeney collected another 2 hits in the 2nd game including his 8th double of the year. These two teams conclude the season series Sunday afternoon when the Sox send Cory Vance against Matt Bruback of Nashville.
