Drew Omicioli scores a pair as Danbury defeats Missouri 4-2

ST. CHARLES, MO--Drew Omicioli scored his 40th and 41st of the season, while Jeff Daw and Alex Goupil each added goals to lead Danbury to a 4-0 lead, which was good enough as they held on 4-2 over the Missouri River Otters for their 6th straight win on Saturday night at the St. Charles Family Arena.

The Trashers jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Daw scored on the power play from Regan Kelly and David Hymovitz at the 6:20 mark on their only power play opportunity of the game.

After Brad Wingfield dropped Mat Suderman at the 16:47 mark, Drew Omicioli dropped the first of his two goals at the 19:12 mark from David Beauregard and Shawn Collymore to give the Trashers a 2-0 lead by the end of the first period.

Omicioli scored his second of the night from Dave MacIsaac at the 6:03 mark, followed by Goupil's 23rd of the season at the 13:14 mark from Daw to give Danbury a 4-0 lead.

Former Trasher Jim Duhart scored his 23rd of the season to open Missouri's scoring at the 17:39 mark, while the Otters added a 3rd period goal from Scott Dobben from Duhart at the 17:02 mark of the final period.

Jayme Platt stopped 27 of 29 shots for his 12th win while Brendan Cuthbert and Corey Wogtech tombined to save 34 of 38 in the loss, which went to Cuthbert. The Trashers now have 93 points on the season, setting a franchise mark, while continuing to lead Adirondack by 12 in the UHL East Division.
