The Dream Factory will host its first "Spring Eggstravaganza" on Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Arrowhead Stadium. The Wizards, KMBC TV-9 and Price Chopper are co-sponsoring the event.

Over 400 tickets to the home opener were donated through the Wizards "Kicks for Kids" Program. Ferguson Attorney at Law L.L.C., Roger the Plumber, Heartland Windows, Accenture, Toyota, Meierotto's Midwest Trucking, Wild Oats Natural Marketplace and ADT Security Systems.

Dream Factory children, families and volunteers are invited to Arrowhead prior to the 7:00 p.m. Wizards home opener vs. Colorado Rapids. From 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Dream Factory guests will enjoy pre-game activities including an egg hunt, egg coloring and a tailgate cookout. Price Chopper and Belfonte Ice Cream are donating provisions for the free event. Dream Factory expects up to 400 attendees.

Dream Factory's new partnership with the Wizards includes scheduling Dream Factory Nights for the organization's program participants. Selected families will be invited to attend a regular season home game during the Wizards 2002 season.

"The Wizards are happy to work with the Dream Factory of Kansas City this season," said Wizards General Manager Curt Johnson. "The entire Wizards organization is committed to the community and this is just another great opportunity for us to partner with a great organization and enjoy a day of fun and Wizards soccer."

The Dream Factory, a national, not-for-profit organization, has been making dreams come true for children with serious or chronic illnesses since 1980. Approximately 5,000 volunteers support more than 38 chapters across the nation. Kansas City's local chapter was established in 1985, with a donation from the Optimist Club. The local chapter provides about 100 individual dreams and more than 15 special events for Dream Factory children and their families each year.
