Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Bowling Green Hot Rods (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) in the last game of a four-game series.

Standings: The Dragons are in fourth place, six games behind first place Lansing, and five and one-half games behind second place Bowling Green.

Last Game: Sunday: Bowling Green 8, Dayton 1. The Hot Rods sent 10 batters to the plate in a four-run fourth inning and three Bowling Green pitchers combined to scatter six hits while walking no one and striking out nine.

He would rank fourth in the league in batting average and first in slugging percentage (by 50 points).

Stuart Fairchild over his last 15 games: 19 for 56 (.339) with two home runs, four doubles a triple, and 10 RBI. He also has a 10-game hitting streak, batting .343 (12 for 35) during the streak.

Jose Garcia over his last 11 games: 12 for 33 (.364) to raise his average from .150 to .194.

John Ghyzel ranks first in the MWL lead in saves with nine. In 17 appearances, he has a 1.59 ERA.

Cory Thompson has allowed earned runs in just two of his 18 relief appearances, posting a 1.44 ERA.
