Today's Game : The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lake County Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the last game of a three-game series and final game of the first half.

- Jon Matthews is batting .462 (18 for 39) with six walks in 12 games since coming off the disabled list May 31 to raise his average from .136 to .344.
Carlton Daal is batting .333 over his last 19 games (21 for 63) to raise his average from .306 to .314. Avain Rachal is batting .305 in 19 games since starting the season by going 1 for his first 34. Phillip Ervin is batting .301 over his last 22 games (25 for 83) to raise his average from .193 to .229.

The Dragons have clinched a winning record in the first half. They had not posted a winning record in the first half since 2007 when they went 44-26. The Dragons are 3-2 on their current six-game home stand, winning the first three vs. Bowling Green and losing the last two vs. Lake County.
