The Green Bay Gamblers waited until the second round to make their first selection in the phase 2 USHL draft after trading their first and six round picks to Muskegon for forwards Dante Palecco and Lucas Michaud.

"The trade at the beginning of the draft allowed us to pick up two experienced USHL forwards," said Gamblers head coach/GM Pat Mikesch. "I place a high value on players that have been through a full season of league play."

"The 16 players we drafted Tuesday give us an opportunity to fill some immediate needs that were created by the departure of some quality players from last season's roster," said Mikesch. "Our picks in the phase 1/futures draft Monday are the building blocks for our future."

The players selected in phase one and two of the draft, returning players and free agents will be in Green Bay June 12 - 16 for the Gamblers main try-out camp at the Resch Center.
