(Sugar Land, Texas, Aug. 6, 2015) - The Long Island Ducks defeated the Sugar Land Skeeters 6-2 on Thursday night in the second game of a four-game series at Constellation Field.

Both sides traded zeroes until the fifth inning when the Ducks scored three times against Skeeters starter Matt Wright. Downs (1-3) earned his first victory as a Duck, tossing six innings, allowing just two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four. Wright (5-6) suffered the loss, surrendering four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks in five and one-third innings with eight strikeouts. Nick Struck, Ryan Kussmaul and J.C.
