Dorados Individual Tickets on Sale Monday / Open House also Scheduled

HIDALGO, TX: March 12, 2003 â Individual tickets for the Rio Grande Valley Dorados inaugural arenafootball2 season at the Dodge Arena go on sale Monday, March 15th at 10 am, which is the same time Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees individual playoff tickets go on sale.
Tickets can be purchased over the phone by dialing 1-866-RIO-TIXX (1-866-746-8499), online through www.dodgearena.com or by stopping by Dodge Arena ticket outlets, which includes Melhart's Music Center, La Villa Real Box Office, McAllen Chamber of Commerce in McAllen; Sahadi Records in Monterrey; and Valley-wide through Valley Yamaha Cycles Supercenters and The Boot Jack locations. Available seating levels have been divided into five pricing levels ranging from $14 to $38. Endzone tickets will be the cheapest tickets at $14 a seat, and then progresses to Corner Sections at $20 a seat, $26 for Sideline Seating, $36 for the first three rows on the sidelines and first row of the endzones, $36 for Lounge Seating (Jim Luther Lounge and the Blue Aquarium Lounge), and $38 for Club Seats. Ticket pricing includes Dodge Arena service surcharges.
Dorados season ticket packages are still available and will continue on sale during the regular season at prorated rates. The team currently has over 1,750 season tickets sold for their inaugural season and season ticket advantages include first right of refusal on seats for playoffs. Groups of 20 or more are encouraged to call the Dorados office at 843-7825 to receive group discounts. The Dorados offices will also handle company party suites and birthday party packages.
On Sunday, March 21st, the Rio Grande Valley Dorados will have an Open House Media Day from 6-8 pm at the Dodge Arena. The field will be laid out at the Dodge Arena and fans will have an opportunity to go on the field and get autographs from the players and cheerleaders. Season ticket holders will have an opportunity to pick up their season tickets at the event, while non-season ticket holders may look at available seats to purchase and get additional ticket information. For media members, this will be the best opportunity to interview fans, coaches, players, cheerleaders and get photo shoots and assignments accomplished. Print media members will not need to take head shot photos at this time, as the Dorados will be providing CDs containing head shots of all players and cheerleaders.
The Dorados have also gone online, with their new website www.doradosfootball.com, which is powered by MyRGV.COM. The site contains the latest in Dorados news, game day info, ticket info, player information, and will feature online streaming of all Dorados games. The Dorados kick-off their inaugural campaign April 3rd against the Laredo Law.
