(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver B.C.) - 3B Carl Wise drove in all three of the Canadians runs while RHP Francisco Rios struck out a season-high nine Indians hitters in a 3-1 Vancouver victory over Spokane out at Scotiabank Field.

Spokane opened scoring, for the first time in the series, in the top of the 4th inning when LF Darius Day scored on a groundout by C Sherman Lacrus.

The Canadians answered quickly back, tying the game in the bottom of the inning as Ryan Hissey came around to score on a double deep to centre field by 3B Carl Wise.

Wise then stepped up to bat with two out in the bottom of the 8th with bases loaded and found a gap in shallow left field to score Heidt and Guillotte, picking up his second and third RBI of the night, and finally breaking the stalemate, lifting the Canadians to 3-1.

Starter RHP Francisco Rios went 6.0 innings recording a season-high nine strike outs in his seventh start, striking out at least a batter in every inning he pitched before he was replaced by Dan Young. Young went 1.2 innings in relief surrendering no runs on three hits.

Canadians closer Andrew Case stepped in to finish the job and picked up the win as the Canadians improve to 5-5 (.500) in the second half. Vancouver faces Everett in a three-game series at Scotiabank Field with gates at 4:00pm and first pitch set for 5:05pm.
