
Doherty Heads up to Providence

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that veteran defenseman Taylor Doherty has signed a Professional Try-Out Agreement with the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins.
Doherty, 26, has 12 points (2g-10a) and 55 penalty minutes in 22 games this season with the Solar Bears. Additionally, the 6-foot-7, 235-pound defenseman has two assists and 25 penalty minutes in 10 games with Providence.
The Orlando Solar Bears continue their fifth season of ECHL hockey when they begin a nine-game road trip against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena on Friday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m.
