
Greenville's Miceli Named Sher-Wood Hockey=2FECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Angelo Miceli of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 6-12.
Miceli scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points in five games last week.
The 23-year-old had two assists in a 7-3 win against Wichita on Tuesday, added an assist in a 3-2 victory against the Thunder on Wednesday, recorded four points (2g-2a) in a 5-2 win against Florida on Friday, scored a goal in a 6-1 loss at Atlanta on Saturday and had a goal and an assist in an 8-3 loss to the Gladiators on Sunday.
A native of Montreal, Miceli ranks fourth in the ECHL with 48 assists while his 67 points are tied for ninth in the league. He has posted 36 points (14g-22a) in his last 25 games, dating back to Jan. 20.
Miceli has tallied 87 points (26g-61a) in 85 career ECHL games with Greenville and Brampton while adding four points (3g-1a) in 29 career games with St. John's of the American Hockey League.
Prior to turning pro, Miceli had 279 points (118g-161a) in 255 career games with Victoriaville of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
On behalf of Angelo Miceli, a case of pucks will be donated to a Greenville youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
