
Dodgers Recall Withrow

The Los Angeles Dodgers today, September 3, recalled Albuquerque Isotopes right-handed pitcher Chris Withrow after he was optioned to the Isotopes on Friday.
Since being optioned, the 24-year-old hurler made one appearance for the Isotopes, tossing a scoreless inning of relief on Sunday at New Orleans. The right-handed reliever went 4-0 with a 1.71 ERA (5 ER/26.1 IP), while striking out 33 and walking 13 in 25 games at Albuquerque this year. In 17 appearances with the Dodgers this season, Withrow has posted a 2-0 record with a 3.38 ERA (9 ER/24.0 IP).
The Los Angeles Dodgers also traded Albuquerque Isotopes infielder Rusty Ryal to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations on September 1. Ryal spent all of 2013 with the Isotopes. He started 67 games for Albuquerque at first base, hitting .265 on the season with 17 doubles, four homers and 49 RBI in 106 games.
