Fond du Lac Dock Spiders News Release
FOND DU LAC, WI - The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders lost to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 17-4 at Witter Field on Monday night.

In the first, Grant Hussey (West Virginia) hit his fourth home run of the year to give the Dock Spiders an early 2-0 lead. The Rafters would then explode for five unanswered runs, including a lead-off home run in the second by Nate Nankil (Cal State Fullerton).
The Dock Spiders scored a run in the third off an error to make it 5-3 before the Rafters scored five more unanswered to make it 10-3. The Dock Spiders would answer in the seventh with a solo home run from Sojka, the first of two on the night from the CSUN product.
In the bottom half of the seventh, the Rafters tallied three more runs off four hits before scoring four more in the eighth to take a 17-4 lead. Sojka's second home run of the night would cut the Rafters' lead to 17-5.
