Amarillo Dillas News Release
AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced this morning that they renewed their partnership with the Lions Club of Amarillo to help those in need of glasses. Fans who bring a pair of glasses, used or new, to a Dillas home game will receive two free General Admission tickets to that night's game. Donation can be made at the ticket windows located just inside the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa.
"I can relate to people who need glasses because I've worn them for over 50 years", Dillas General Manager Mark Lee said. "I can't begin to imagine what it would have been like if I wasn't able to afford glasses over the years and struggled to see, everyone should have the chance to see clearly".
The Dillas continue their first home stand of the season when they play the WhiteWings of the Rio Grande Valley tonight at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa. Tonight's game officially kicks-off the first Budweiser Thirsty Thursday of the season. The promotion includes two (2) 12 ounce cans of beer for $3 and small soft drinks for $1. For everything else Dillas, visit the "Official Website of the Amarillo Dillas" at www.myamarillodillas.com.
The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
