Amarillo Dillas News Release

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced today that they will continue to recognize the men and women who protect and serve the City of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle. We live in a country where our freedom is provided under the Declaration of Independence and is secured by the members of the military that serve in the United States and around the world.

Likewise, we live in a community that is protected and served by men and women who ensure that our safety and emergency needs are met every day. We best know them in their roles as police officers, firemen, paramedics, highway patrol officers, sheriff's dept and the list goes on. Regardless of their gender or particular function, they are the very lifeline in communities such as Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.

"It takes a very unique individual to be willing to put their own safety on the line while protecting others", Dillas General Manager Mark Lee said. "We are both proud and honored to extend our hand and welcome emergency service personnel to our ballpark".

The ticket program is available to Police Departments, Fire Departments, EMS Services, Drug Enforcement Agency, FBI, U.S. Marshal, U.S. Secret Service, and Sheriff Departments, within the City of Amarillo and the entire Texas Panhandle. When employees of these public agencies bring their issued identification to any Dillas regular season home game, they will receive four free General Admission tickets courtesy of the Amarillo Dillas.

Amarillo continues their eight game road trip tonight when they look to even the first four game series with a win over the Laredo Broncos. The Dillas return home on Thursday, July 2nd for the first of four games against the Coastal Bend Thunder. The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
