Laredo Broncos News Release

June 25, 2009-Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce that Tano Tijerina will make his 2nd start of the 2009 season on Friday June 26th, as the Broncos take on the Amarillo Dillas at Veterans Field.

While, Tijerina did not pick up a decision in his first start of the season, he had a very nice outing. He gave up only 3 runs and struck out 3 batters in 6 innings of work. He also pitched the Broncos out of some tough jams, as the San Angelo Colts had the bases loaded several times in the game and Tijerina was able to pitch out of that trouble. The game would later be won on a walk off hit by another native of Laredo OJ Garza.

Tickets are going fast for the game on Friday, so get your tickets now by stopping by the office at 2200 Santa Maria which is Veterans Field or call by phone (956) 723-2273. Game time is at 7:30 as the Broncos take on the Amarillo Dillas. Come on out and see Laredo Latin Sports Hall of Famer Tano Tijerina make another start for the 2009 Broncos.

The Laredo Broncos begin their 4th season in 2009. The Broncos will play an 80 game season from June to September with 36 home games at Veterans Field.
