Diagnosis For A Rout: Score Eight Runs And Call The League Office With The Win
Published on June 5, 2003 under Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Berkshire Black Bears News Release
In an act lacking in diplomacy, the Berkshire Black Bears lit up the visiting Allentown Ambassadors for eight runs over the first five innings Thursday night.
The hometown team got 6.1 solid innings of work from starter Courtney Hall (1-1) and the offense rebounded from last night's loss to award Ambassador Mike Reilly (1-1) his first defeat of the 2003 season. Stressing unilateral action, the coalition was led by Brady Williams who went 2-3 on the night, with a triple, a home run, a walk and four RBIs to lead the way to Berkshire's fourth win in its last five game. Despite the damp conditions, the Black Bears improve to 4-10 on the year, 3-1 at Wahconah Park.
The Ambassadors come back for more, talks and negotiations are scheduled all through the weekend, Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm and Sunday at 2:05 pm.
