
Diablos win their fourth straight, 5-2 over Coastal Bend

Walter Olmstead's two-run fifth inning home run sparked the Diablos to a 5-2 victory over the Coastal Bend Aviators on Saturday night.
El Paso had a very productive bottom of the second inning. Walter Olmstead led off the frame with a single. Matt Kent then reached on an error on a grounder to short, advancing Olmstead to second. Olmstead would steal third and score on an errant throw from catcher Steven Morales. Matt Kent would move around the horn to third on the error and a passed ball. Jordan Belcher and Kory Drew would each pick up RBI singles giving El Paso a 3-0 lead.
Coastal Bend got back into the contest with a two-run fifth inning. Jason Arrowood had an RBI single off of Greg Wiltshire and Will Lewis provided a sacrifice fly as Coastal Bend cut the advantage to 3-2.
The Diablos erupted again in the bottom of the fifth. Walter Olmstead his first home-run in more than a month, a two-run blast down the right field line for the 5-2 lead.
Garvis Romero, Dustin Cameron, and Ned Darley combined for three scoreless innings of relief.
Greg Wiltshire (9-4) threw six innings allowing two earned runs off of five hits with one walk and three strikeouts in the victory.
Kevin Hull (5-5) tossed five and a third innings allowing two earned runs off of nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
Miguel Martinez and Brian Martin threw two and two third combined shut-out innings.
The Diablos will close out the four-game set with 5:05 PM match up at Cohen Stadium on Sunday night. Robbie Wachman will face Pedro Flores in the contest. The game will be broadcast live at www.diablos.com with Jon Barr on the call.
