The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays surrendered a three-run lead, but came out winners tonight. The Rays defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton by a final of 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Rays received outstanding starting pitching from southpaw Mike Wlodarczyk, who tossed five shutout, one-hit frames.

It remained a 3-2 game until the bottom of the 9th, when Greg Dupas allowed a Luis Valbuena single, scoring Alex Gary from third base and knotting the game at three apiece.

The Devil Rays reclaimed the lead in the 10th, as Garrett Groce drove in J.T. Hall with a base hit, making the score 4-3.

Drew Bigda chucked a scoreless 10th, picking up the save and handing the win to Dupas. The loss was charged to Wisconsin righty Joe Woerman. Garrett Groce collected three hits. J.T. Hall had a pair of knocks.

The win gives the Rays a 5-6 record. The clubs will meet Tuesday in the second of four games, beginning at 7:35.
