Winston-Salem Dash News Release
As expected, the Winston-Salem Dash will welcome their one millionth fan at BB&T Ballpark Thursday night for their game at 7 against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Below, please find important details about covering the event.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- The contestant will be randomly selected, and he or she will be announced to the crowd sometime between the third inning and the sixth inning. We will not be counting fans at the gates for the "millionth fan." It will simply be a random fan tomorrow night.
- The game of chance will take place following the bottom of the seventh inning. If you would like to be near the game for photo/video purposes, please meet at the bottom of the Picnic Terrace (formerly the Blue Rhino Backyard) down the first base/right field line at the beginning of the bottom of the seventh.
- Your contact at the Picnic Terrace will be Brett Hickman. He will be escorting media down to the field.
- Once the contest is over, the participant and Dash team President Geoff Lassiter will be available for interviews in Suite 3. Brett and/or other Dash representatives will lead you up to the suite area.
DETAILS:
- BB&T Ballpark will become the fastest High-A stadium to reach one million fans.
- The Dash lead High-A baseball in attendance since BB&T Ballpark opened in April of 2010.
- Winston-Salem also boasts the best home record in full-season Minor League Baseball during that span.
