
DeSerres Earns First Professional Shutout as Eagles Dominate Rush 4-0

(Loveland)- The Colorado Eagles picked up their first win of the season beating the Rapid City Rush 4-0 on "Military Appreciation night" at the Budweiser Events Center. Kyle Ostrow and Adrian Veideman both notched 2 assists on the night, while Jacob DeSerres picked up his first professional shutout in the win.
Colorado got off to an early lead just :53 seconds into the first period when Darryl Bootland took a backdoor feed from Trent Daavetilla and snuck the puck past Rush goaltender Danny Battochio. The Eagles padded their lead, going up 2-0 when Giffen Nyren tipped the puck in after a battle in front of the net at the 10:13 mark.
Colorado continued their stellar power play as of late taking a 3-0 lead in the second when Collin Bowman scored from the high-slot on the man-advantage with 12:41 left on the clock. Ostrow picked up his second assist of the night on the play.
Jesse Mychan added the fourth goal of the night for the Eagles 4:50 into third period with a wrister from the top of the circle. He was set up on the play by Jesse Marto and Veideman.
The Eagles are on the road for the next two match-ups facing off against the Wichita Thunder on Friday and Saturday before returning home next week.
