Demonz Edge Dashers

December 7, 2012 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Danville Dashers News Release

The Danville Dashers were unable to overcome a three-goal deficit in the third period losing to the Dayton Demonz 5-4. Late third period goals from Darick Ste Marie and Shawn McNulty cut the lead to one goal for Dayton, but the Demonz were back stopped strongly by goaltender Gerry Festa to hang on for a victory.

The Demonz opened the game scoring 13:11 in to the first period on a power play goal from James Sanford. They added a second by Nick Petriello 1:43 later off of a pass from Marcus Pryde. The Demonz then extended their lead to three just 1:18 after that score on a tap in from Luke Flicek.

The Demonz got off to a great start in the second period, extending their lead to 4-1 when Lucas Schott rifled in a pass from Flicek just :40 in to the frame.

The Dashers cut the lead to 4-2 when Ryan Stern slammed in a Ste Marie feed on the power play at the 7:59 mark. That lead was short lived, however, as the eventual game winner was potted by Seth Ronsberg just 2 minutes later.
