
Sich's Second Four Goal Night Sparks Outlaws Over Whalers

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa - For the second time this season Rob Sich found the twine four time in an Outlaws win in front of the home crowd at Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field, as the Outlaws skate past the Danbury Whalers 7-1.
The Outlaws got on the board first like a night ago in the first period on a goal from Rob Sich (22) at the 10:44 mark of the period from Chris LeVeille and Nick Van Den Beld. The goal extended Sich's point streak to eight games, in which he has scored a goal in each of his last six games. LeVeille extended his point streak to seven games.
In the second period, Williamsport continued their attack getting a goal from Rob Sich (23) at the 4:52 mark of the period from Kevin Hamel and Jeff Winchester. Winchester extended his point streak to a team high nine games.
Martin Moucha made it 3-0 Outlaws with a shorthanded goal (10) from Nathan Oke and Winchester at the 7:21 mark. Oke extended his point streak to three games with the aassist.
Danbury's Mike Atkinson scored a power play goal at the 7:48 mark to make it a two goal deficit. That would be the only goal the Whalers would score on the night.
Williamsport continued their scoring in the second period when Sich tallied the hat trick goal (24) at the 13:21 mark of the period from LeVeille and Oke to make it 4-1 Outlaws.
LeVeille would make it 5-1 going into the second intermission with his 11th goal of the season at the 13:35 mark from Van Den Beld and Winchester.
LeVeille would score his second of the night (12) on the power play at the 6:12 mark from Sich and Winchester to make it 6-1 Outlaws.
Sich would score his fourth goal of the night, and his league leading 25th on the season on the power play at the 8:10 mark from LeVeille and Brett Needham. Needham extended his point streak to eight games.
Chris Whitley started in net for the Outlaws but left the game in the second period with an apparent injury. Whitley made 20 saves on 21 shots faced, allowing the lone goal to the Whalers.
Mike DiLorenzo replaced Whitley and stopped all 25 shots that he faced from the second period on.
Nick Neidert got the loss, making 19 saves on 26 shots faced.
Williamsport hosts the 1000 Island Privateers tomorrow night at Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field.
