Williamsport Outlaws News Release
WILLIAMSPORT, PA - - The Williamsport Outlaws came into Saturday afternoon's game looking to rebound from Friday night's 7-2 loss to the Danville Dashers, but ended up dropping their second straight at Airmen Pond at Historic Bowman Field.
Williamsport had their opportunities in the first period out shooting the Dashers 17-15 and also having two chances on the power play. The Outlaws couldn't figure out Justin Sands in the period. Dustin Skinner, who posted a hat trick in last night's win over the Outlaws, was responsible for the two Dashers goals in the first, with both coming shorthanded.
Skinner would beat Chris Whitley a third time shorthanded for his sixth goal in his last six periods in the second period to make it 3-0 Dashers after two periods of play.
Danville struck two more times in the third period to jump out to a 5-0 lead with goals from Justin Levac and Ryan Stern.
Williamsport would not be shutout however as they would muster two late goals in the third period. Bryan Mock scored from Ryan Dolance and Nick Zaino scored the first and William McCreary scored from Trevor Karasiewicz and Paul Arnott Jr for the second goal.
Chris Whitley took the loss allowing 5 goals while making 43 saves. Justin Sand earned the win allowing 2 goals while making 41 saves.
