WILLIAMSPORT, PA - - The week that lead up to tonight's matchup between the 1000 Island Privateers and Williamsport Outlaws saw familiar faces end up in new places and left both teams wondering if they would have enough players to play. The thing that didn't change for the Williamsport Outlaws was the solid play from veterans like Trevor Karasiewicz, Chris Leveille and Chris Whitley, who earned the win in the 6-4 victory.
Williamsport scored early and scored often in the first period, the first goal coming from Bryan Mosk at the 5:59 mark of the period. The assists came from Jamie Zaleski and Ryan Dolance. The second goal was scored by Leveille at the 12:20 mark, with the assists coming from Karasiewicz and Billy McCreary to make it 2-0. Karasiewicz would make it 3-0 with his goal at the 18:12 mark, with the assists coming from Paul Arnott Jr. and Levielle.
Leveille would start the scoring in the second period with his second goal of the game, and fifth goal in two games at the 7:30 mark, with the assists coming from Karasiewicz and McCreary.
1000 Islands would get on the board with a shorthanded goal from James Gordon. The assist coming from Peter Campbel. The second period came to an end with a 4-1 Outlaws lead.
Brett Needham would make it 5-1 with a power play goal at the 1:16 mark, with the assists coming from McCreary and Nathan Oke.
1000 Islands would score three unanswered goals in the third period to cut it to a 5-4 Outlaws lead. The Privateers goals were scored by Adam McAllister, James Gordon and A.J. Tesoriero.
Williamsport would cap off the night with an empty netted goal scored by Karasiweicz moments before the final horn sounded to give the Outlaws a 6-4 win.
Whitley made 46 saves on the 50 shots that he faced in the win.
