Kannapolis, NC;Kannapolis (17-26) lost to Delmarva (15-28), by a final score of 8-4, Tuesday at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.
Salvador Sanchez hit his 8th homerun, a 2 run shot for Kannapolis. However, 4 run Shorebirds 6th inning, and 2 runs in the 8th and 9th were too much for the Intimidators to overcome. Rafael Flores (3-5) took the loss, despite allowing just 2 ER. Delmarva's Kyle Schmidt dominated on the mound, giving up just one run in 7 IP, en route to the win.
Kannapolis concludes its 4-game series with Delmarva on Wednesday at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Intimidators RHP Derek Rodriguez gets the starting nod. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
