
Delgado dominates in Braves victory

Rome, GA -The Rome Braves defeated the Savannah Sand Gnats 4-0 in front of 2,334 fans at State Mutual Stadium Monday night.
The game was dominated by pitching and defense until the sixth when the Braves put three runs on the board to take a 3-0 lead. The first run came when Samuel Sime scored from third on a wild pitch by Elvin Ramirez, and then Shayne Moody hit a two RBI single to score Chais Fuller and Chris Shehan. Rome added another run in the seventh when Joel Campusano scored from third on a bases loaded walk to David Berres for the 4-0 final. Braves starter Dimasther Delgado went six innings, allowing no runs on four hits, with six strike outs for his first win of the season.
Dimasther Delgado (1-0) gets the win for Rome, while Elvin Ramirez (3-5) was the loser for Savannah. David Francis recorded his first save of the season.
