WILMINGTON - J The Delaware Blue Coats fell by a score of 118-108 to the Westchester Knicks on the second night of back-to-back matches against Westchester.
"We did show some fight and I was pleased with that," head coach Mike Longabardi said. "It could have went the other way but our guys competed, they fought."
Kenneth Lofton Jr. led all scorers with 27 points on an efficient 10-17 shooting while Javonte Smart added 25. Jared Brownridge (18) and Darius Bazley (14) contributed double figures in scoring as well while Marcus Bagley recorded a new season-high in rebounds with 12.
Charlie Brown Jr. led the Knicks in scoring with 22 points, while DaQuan Jeffries (21) and Brandon Goodwin (20) added over 20 points each. Jacob Toppin (18), Duane Washington Jr. (11) and Dmytro Skapintsev (10) also poured in double figures.
The Coats will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 10, visiting the College Park Skyhawks. Tip-off from Georgia is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
