Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 23)- Strong offensive play by Jason Deitsch earned him the Oakley CHL Player of the Week award presented by the Central Hockey League (CHL) for the week of February 15-21.

Deitsch registered six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in two games last week helping him earn the Oakley CHL Player of the Week award. The Cincinnati, OH native increased his goal scoring streak to four games yesterday with a pair of goals against a tough Oklahoma City team. With his two promotions by the Houston Aeros (AHL), Deitsch has played only 24 games with the Brahmas, and gives Texas a 17-5-2 record when he is in the lineup. This past weekend Deitsch led the Brahmas attack in clinching a playoff berth.

"Jason played really well this week when we needed him most," said Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong. "As the regular season comes to a close, we will continue to look to him for his leadership and playmaking skills".

The Brahmas will be facing the Corpus Christi IceRays on the road tomorrow afternoon in a rare 11 AM faceoff. Texas is 3-0 against the IceRays for the season. The early game will be the Brahmas second this year. The Southeast division battle can be seen by fans for free at http://www.nifty-tv.com/chl/.
