Jacks "Relay For Life" to Benefit American Cancer Society

(Odessa, TX) - The Jackalopes will be having a "Relay For Life" weekend for the American Cancer Society on February 27 and February 28. These benefit games will be taking place at Ector County Coliseum. Gates open at 6:00 PM, game starts at 7:05 PM.
"Relay For Life" brings together more than 3.5 million people to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost to this disease, and helps individuals and communities to fight back against cancer. "Relay For Life" brings people from all walks of life together to raise funds for awareness and research to find a cure for cancer. Your involvement in Relay For Life also supports life saving American Cancer Society programs and services.
On both of these dates the players will be wearing specially branded "Relay For Life" jerseys. These jerseys will be auctioned off following the February 28 game, with partial proceeds going to the American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life". In addition, $1.00 from walk-up tickets on both nights will also benefit "Relay For Life".
A press conference to promote this event is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Falcon Club in the Ector County Coliseum.

Also, Jackalopes Assistant GM, Bill Levy, was named at the Central Hockey League Employee of the Month for January. Levy has been the main coordinator for the "Relay for Life" event occurring this weekend.
