Defenseman Ray Macias Returned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Ray Macias has been returned to the Royals from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. In a separate transaction, forward John Scrymgeour was activated from the 7-Day Injured Reserve.

Macias, a fifth year pro from Long Beach, California, was loaned to Springfield on October 18. He registered three points (1g-2a) in three games while in the AHL. Macias played the first two games of the regular season for the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes prior to be loaned to Springfield. Scrymgeour has played one game for the Royals this season without recording any points or penalty minutes.

The Royals travel to Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey, to face their first divisional opponent of the season-the Trenton Titans-tonight (Friday, October 28, 2011 @ 7:00 pm). The game night broadcast, presented by Boscov's Travel and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, will kick off at 6:30 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. The game will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV.
