GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors open their longest home stand of the season, eight games, tonight against the Florida Everblades. Game time is set for 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.
The Road Warriors (1-3-0) host Florida (2-2-1) tonight in the first of six games between the clubs at the BI-LO Center this season. Greenville went 10-2-3 against the Everblades in the 2010-11 season which included a 5-1-1 mark on home ice. For the first meeting between the clubs this season, special teams play could have a big role in determining the outcome. The Road Warriors enter the game with the sixth best power play in the league at 23.5 percent while Florida is 19th out of 20 on the penalty kill at 70.4 percent. The Everblades are in the midst of a nine-game road trip on which they are 1-2-0 so far.

NOTEWORTHY: With two assists on Oct. 22 at Gwinnett, Justin Bowers reached 100 (31G, 69A) points for his ECHL career. He is seven points shy of 200 for his professional career which includes games in the American Hockey League and Central Hockey League.After dropping its first two home games on Oct. 14 and 15, Greenville is trying to avoid losing three consecutive home games for the first time in team history. There were 3 two-game streaks in 10-11. Defenseman Wes Cunningham has 33 points (7G, 26A) in his last 32 regular season games dating back to Feb. 2010.Greenville is starting an 8-game homestand tonight. It will be followed by 7 straight road games starting Nov. 18. Both are the longest such stretches of the season for the Road Warriors. Brendan Connolly has already scored half as many power play goals this season as he had all of last season (2). Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors take on the Florida Everblades at the BI-LO Center on Saturday, October 29 at 2:05 p.m. Bring the kids out and for the safest Trick-or-Treat in the Upstate! Trick-or-treating on the concourse begins at 1:05 p.m. and every child that comes dressed in costume gets in for free with a paying adult. Great group seats are still available for the game.
