Defenseman Derik Johnson Returned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Derik Johnson has been returned to the Royals from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. Johnson, a first year pro from Bloomington, Minnesota, was loaned by the Royals to Springfield on March 31. In his first career stint in the AHL, Johnson picked up two penalty minutes in four games with the Falcons. In fifty regular season games with the Royals this season, Johnson registered ten points (1g-9a) and picked up twenty-eight penalty minutes, while playing to a plus-12 (+12).
