NORWICH, CT- The Defenders returned home Friday night only to be greeted with a 3-2 loss to northern division foe Binghamton.

The Defenders began to chip into the lead in the bottom of the fourth. 1B-Ramon Castro came in as a substitution for Brett Pill and leadoff with a double and quickly scored on a LF-Mike Mooney RBI single.
Castro struck again in the fifth with a two out single and came into score on RF-Eddy Martinez-Esteve's RBI double into the left centerfield alleyway as Connecticut evened the score at 2-2.
